These days the Microsoft® Excel textual processor is the most widespread tool for creation any types of spreadsheets, including corporate spreadsheets. Utilizing SecureRecovery® to repair excel files can help avoid the costly loss of critical data when you need it most.
Our excel file recovery tool scans, analyzes the corrupted file and attempts to fix corrupt excel files by exporting all available data into a new spreadsheet. Recovery for Excel repairs text, numbers and formulas, merged cells, comments, frozen rows and columns, embedded images, filter settings, sheet names, images, hyperlinks and other similar attributes. However, in cases of severe damage or corruption some data loss is inevitable.
Using the excel repair software is a non-destructive operation, meaning this tool only analyzes the damaged file and does not change the original data.
At first a very important point is to define whether your receiving errors opening excel file or your excel file is corrupted. A excel file is corrupted when it has inconsistencies that make it impossible to open it with Microsoft Excel. If while trying to open your .xls, .xlsx or .xla file you got an error message or the application crashed or the file could open as a mix of random characters, all these are typical symptoms of your excel file corruption.
The good news is that in most cases a half of corrupted excel files aren't lost completely. And our excel repair tool is created to fix and restore the remaining non-corrupted data from damaged xls, xlsx or xla files. You will get your data back and will be able to open it with Microsoft Excel without any errors.

While the full version can recover complete spreadsheets, the demo will only recover a limited number of cells. Past this point, recovered cells will be replaced with generic placeholder text. If a cell is unrecoverable, it will not appear with the placeholder text. Please note that formatting, stylesheets and other elements may not be recoverable if they do not appear in the demo output.
Before using either the demo version or the full version of SecureRecovery for Excel, we strongly recommend making backups of all of your damaged spreadsheets.
Not necessarily. When cells are damaged or portions of your spreadsheet are unreadable, SecureRecovery for Excel replaces the damaged areas with blank space, which can result in a smaller file size. This typically does not affect the usability of the recovered files.
Some features (such as advanced formatting) may be supported or unrecoverable, which would also result in a smaller file size. Also, the demo version of the software almost always outputs a relatively small file, since recovered cells are entirely replaced with placeholder text.
This is normal. The damaged parts of your Excel spreadsheet will convert to zero size on output. The other common reason of file size decrease is when some of features of the original spreadsheet are not supported and therefore absent from the recovered spreadsheet. Demo-recovered spreadsheet is smaller because it mostly consists of demo placeholders than actual data.
